Rush Limbaugh said that there is a movement to “normalize” pedophilia, something he thinks is akin to society attempting to “normalize same-sex marriage."
On the Monday airing of “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” a conservative radio program, he points to an article in UK-based the Guardian titled “Paedophilia; Bringing Dark Desires to Light,” which cites research done on the brains of pedophiles.
John Henley of the Guardian wrote: "There is a growing conviction, notably in Canada, that paedophilia should probably be classified as a distinct sexual orientation, like heterosexuality or homosexuality." He goes on to cite a researcher who says that there may be a misclassification of pedophiles, but also mentions that there are many who disagree with such a statement.
This did not stop Limbaugh, a long-time adversary of same-sex marriage, from highlighting the article and noting the similarities between the “normalization” of pedophilia and the progress of same-sex marriage in the U.S.
Limbaugh said:
There is a movement to normalize pedophilia, and I guarantee you your reaction to that is probably much the same as your reaction when you first heard about gay marriage. What has happened to gay marriage? It's become normal -- and in fact, with certain people in certain demographics it's the most important issue in terms of who they vote for. So don't pooh-pooh. There's a movement to normalize pedophilia. Don't pooh-pooh it. The people behind it are serious, and you know the left as well as I do. They glom onto something and they don't let go.

He's a hate-filled bigot.
Rush Limbaugh is not without fault! The excuses and lies as well as the false sense of justice he attempts to instill in his followers, is wildly unreasonable, illogical, and inappropriate. I will be cautious as to how much energy I will give to this conversation as I am not a fan of giving my power to those who have no respect nor appreciation for life or who can mindlessly group the practices and actions of the LGBT community together with those who practice pedophilia. It is a sad thing to think that someone would travel to a place like the Dominican Republic, that is known for such practices as pedophilia, bring sexual male enhancement pills like Viagra and think that a union of marriage between same sex humans would be comparable. I believe you have a misguided voice on this issue Mr. Limbaugh. To my friends and family of the LGBT community the world over, let the words of Mr. Limbaugh fall from your ears and senses. Hold your head up, be good to others and prevail!
